We would like to ask you,  "Do you know God and have peace with Him?"   You can, according to the Bible.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (I John 5:13)    "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life." (1 John 5:20)

What do you need to understand to know God?

One must know that God is God. He is not One to be toyed with, ignored, nor mocked or taken for granted.

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)     "And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only True God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent." (John 17:3)    "Now unto the King eternal, immortal invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen!" (1Timothy 1:17)

A person's sinful condition separates them from God. The reason people don't know God is because SIN, like a wall or a deep gulf, has separated them from the God of heaven.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 2:23)    "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12)    "If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us." (1John 1:10)     "If we say that we have no sin. We deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8)      “O God, Thou knowest my foolishness: and my sins are not hid from Thee." (Psalm 69:5)

"Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." (1Timothy 2:4) "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32)    "But God commendeth [proved by demonstrating] His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)     "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures." (1Cor.15:3-4)

God sent His Son Jesus Christ to take the punishment for your sin. And by believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, God forgives man's sin by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Know that there is a need for true repentance - turning from sin unto God.

"And saying, The time it fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” (Mark 1:15)      "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3)     "And the times of this ignorance God winked at: but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent." (Acts 17:30)     "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

Only faith (belief and trust) in Jesus Christ will save you from your sins and give you peace with God.

"But these are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing ye might have life through His name." (John 20:31)    "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him" (John 3:36)

"For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.” (Romans 5:15)

Salvation and eternal life cannot be earned by doing good things. It is a gift God gives when He saves a person from their sin.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."  (Ephesians 2:8-9) "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost" (Titus 3:5)

Do YOU KNOW you are saved?   You can know today!

"For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured [helped] thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2)      "That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. …For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:9, 13)

Once you call upon the Lord to save you, you will then experience the peace that comes from knowing God.

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)     "These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace…"  (John 16:33a)     "And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (John 11:26)
